The Battle of Little Bighorn was a very important battle that was between George A Custer's army and Sitting Bull's army of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors. The battle all started because both sides created tensions about the discovery of gold. A lot of tribes missed the federal deadline to move away from that land. General Custer and his 7th Calvary was chosen to confront them. Custer was unaware of how many Indians he was up against. His Calvary was quickly defeated due to being outnumbered. This defeat was soon going to be known as Custer's Last Stand.
The Battle of Little Bighorn was fought in southeastern Montana near the Bighorn River. The battle was fought on June 25, 1876. The victors in this fight were the Lakota Indians led by Sitting Bull.
